Yep, it was gonna cost him about 2 billion to remove the asbestos...guess he figured a way along with his buddies how to get that asbestos out of those buildings. The poor first responders and police that survived had tragic illnesses from breathing it in, and the government promised to help them with their medical bills and pay bills, but they never did, one guy who died right after he came to congress to try to get someone there to hear their pleas for help since they were all dying and needed help....Shameless how these heros were treated. Will there ever be justice for this tragic event?

They suffered from galvanic corrosion due to the mixed use of aluminium fascia panels attached to the steel structural beams. The buildings were set to be demolished in any case, by 2007.
