After 31 years of domestic abuse and violence, I managed to free myself and my kids. I have PTSD too, bad. Would love to read your journey, maybe it can help me too. Some days are just gonna be bad ones, impossible ones. On those days, I try and do nothing and just exist, having faith, FAITH, that it will get better. My kids help anchor me too, I live for them right now.

If you can get a service dog, or just a special dog that makes you smile and snuggles when you're in a downer, that helps. My son has an autism service dog, I've seen the power there. And I have a special little dog that is never more than 6' away from me, she makes me smile on the hardest days. I'm not a dog person, but there is something special when the right dog and the right person pair up.

I'll be praying for you every night - I lift up many in prayer, and those unnamed that God knows their needs...

If you write your journey, you will help others learn so they can help understand those with PTSD...

The best way to say it is bluntly. That is the honesty in words. Anything else is just fluff.

If nothing else, SLEEP. Sleep can save you from doing something you can't return from. When you wake up, the worst is over.

But a dog, they can be lifesavers.
