I took my 81 y/o dad to hospital for a UTI in Jan and they said he was positive for covid and that they were going to keep him for breathing problems he had. I said NO i brought him in for a UTI and he is not staying here. Sure enough they gave me the script for UTI and sent him home. I never left his side as he has Parkinsons and I refused to leave his side. I also refused to get tested as they said I should since he was positive. Also, I took him back in Feb for a bed sore since he has PD and does not get off his back side much. This time the same hospital told me i could not stay with him and they took him back for dr to look at him. I was told I was not able to wait in waiting area and that they will call me when finished. I made a big scene and ordered the front desk to bring MY FATHER back up front I am taking him to another clinic! I was cussing and making a scene....low and behold the Dr came and over rode the policy! I was escorted back to b w/my father! KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!

That was good to hear. My wife takes no krap from doctors or nurses. She gives 'them' the orders. It is too easy for hospitals to do whatever they want without question. Take notes and try to understand 'everything'. Mistakes do happen as well.

Sadly, I believe this to be true. I no longer trust doctors or hospitals given the financial incentive for people to die. Thank goodness this man took his father home and got him the treatment that helped him get better.

I lost faith in dr's and hospitals long ago...they caused my Father to pass away back in 1987...since then the vail has been lifted for me in the medical world....I see straight through their bullshit....I hope that everyone starts seeing how twisted the medical community is.
