😻 One of the greatest actors of ANY generation has died.
Robert Duvall.
His wife, Luciana, posted on FB β€œBob passed away
peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.”
He was 95 years old.

Duvall was famous for playing Tom Hagen in THE GODFATHER,
his Oscar-winning performance in TENDER MERCIES,
& his Emmy-winning performance in LONESOME DOVE.

But my favorite Duvall performance will always be β€˜Boo Radley’
in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

NPR
β€œβ€¦In Francis Ford Coppola's Vietnam War film Apocalypse Now,
Duvall was charismatic swagger as Lieutenant Colonel Kilgore,
who calls down an airstrike
& delivers one of the most quotable lines in film history:
"I LOVE THE SMELL OF NAPALM IN THE MORNING.
IT SMELLS LIKE ... VICTORY."
As he told Terry Gross on Fresh Air in 1996,
the words followed him for the rest of his life.
"Yeah, that was a wonderful line," he said.
"People come up to me & quote it to me…”

πŸͺ½ Flights of Angels, Mr. Duvall πŸͺ½ Thank you 🎭

😻 Truly, Mr. Duvall was one of the GREATEST
there has EVER been.
Phenomenal actor.

I also loved him in a film called
SECONDHAND LIONS with Michael Caine.
Fantastic πŸ’ͺ❀️
