Daughter of the Sacred Keepers
In the old way,
the land is not a place—
It is a relative
who raises us with patience.
Some spirits are chosen
to carry responsibility
like a song passed down,
steady and true.
The elders say:
Strength is not in taking,
but in tending—
in guarding what feeds the people,
In honoring what was given
before our names were spoken.
Walk with humility.
stand with courage,
And remember:
The future is held
by those who live
as caretakers,
not owners.
May your life be a prayer
for balance,
for respect,
and for the circle
that must remain whole.
