Oh the taxpayers definitely did pay for that s***! And what I think about is all of the wild animals and even the domestic dogs and cats that it scares the living hell out of! I used to go down and watch the fireworks near Kitsilano beach in Vancouver until one day I went into this little Bay area to watch them and I saw a whole flock of ducks go absolutely insane, they didn't know what to do! They tried to come on to the land and there were so many people sitting there they got freaked out so they went back into the water, they were freaking out and trying to swim here and there. IT was so horrible I have never ever gone to watch another fireworks display! No one thinks about any of that!
