Anyone have an opinion…I’m all ears.
Got a phone call this afternoon on my cell phone from a number showing up as a small town in the neighboring county, the man saying he worked with the local landline telephone company…and that I was on a list of people who he was calling to notify them they would be getting another call from someone making an appointment to come out…
They are replacing my copper telephones in the house with coaxial line or my phone won’t work (soon?)…and that my bill was going to be dropping like almost $100 dollars…
I mean like WTF? To say I’m suspicious of damn near everything these days is an understatement. I just get a vibe off this & I cant make out if it’s genuine.
My only hope is the bad guys have been put out of business…& if it’s the good guys, fooking tell me what you need up front.
Just got a text saying they are doing it tomorrow & that I don’t need to be home, because they don’t need access to the inside.

they want into your house. do not agree to anything unless you get it from your mayor himself.. do you have a cell phone? or just a land line? call your telephone company if its a land line.. do not answer your phone if you dont know the number. or let them leave you a message. you can determine fact or fiction then. since no one here has had it happen to them. do nothing or call the police to see what they say. you have many options. sounds incredibly fishy to me.
