The truth is, the I LOVE YOU sign language sign is often called the ILY sign for this reason. 'Deaf Sign Language' uses the first letters of “I Love You” to create the sign. So…Yes, they are similar. But one looks like devil horns, and one uses the first letters of “I Love You.” There’s only so much you can do with one hand!
In conclusion, the American Sign Language I LOVE YOU sign has nothing to do with the devil.

When I was a teenager using the I love you sign was common where I lived. I knew exactly what it was.
