On the subject of the Swastika: It's a great pity the swastika has had such bad press in modern times. Originally, it was an ancient sign of divinity, peace, friendship, well-being and prosperity, and was so recognised, in both East and West, for many thousands of years. Svastika (Sanskrit) = "conducive to well-being". It's to be hoped that the bad associations will soon be cleared away from this fine old symbol, allowing the people to take it to their hearts once more.
