I discovered in the 1970s and 80's, via my ex-husband (med-school) and 2 sister-in-laws who worked in the medical field,
that at least one medical school emphasizes $$$ with new students,
and
hospitals are corporate businesses who meet regularly with staff doctors & head nurses to determine how well or poorly the current earning conditions! Example: tests.
Now we know doctors have been defrauding medicare & medicaid via unnecessary tests & pharma kickbacks!
