A key to this Christ consciousness is to make a sure one knows the real Jesus and the truth of the scriptures in their historical context and to understand to whom Jesus was speaking and why. It also helps to understand the significance of the old covenant versus the new covenant, as well as to understand what Jesus said about Himself and of course what the prophets had to say. Too many churches do not teach the actual scriptures in this way and can distort the true person of Jesus. 😇

I believe people need to read the Bible for themselves, and not take anyone else's word for the meanings.
I follow the teachings of Jesus because I know what I read describes the way we should all be acting in our lives.
I was brought up in the Church and learned the Bible. But, as an adult I developed a mind of my own. The Bible read a little different to me after life happened.
