Well that is an Obelisk.
Quite an interesting meaning….
Why is there one in
Vatican City as well as
other significant parts of the world?

Many of these locations operate as
a sovereign land
within a country.
Who actually owns
Washington DC?

and are the tips not communication points where each monument *talks* to each other
