Years ago it was the electricity manufacturer who read your meter and sent you the bill.
Then it all changed, we had meter reading companies not connected to the electricity co. Ours was Powergen, then it was renamed EON which I discovered was a German billing company. We weren't told abut the changes.

Now, we have electricity 'suppliers' who buy from the power producing company, it's Western Power in my area.
I searched Western Power & got National Grid!

WPD became part of the National Grid Group following its acquisition in 2021. It was renamed National Grid from 21 September 2022.

National Grid is what we have had for decades. About 30 yrs ago it changed from Niagara Mohawk to Nat'l Grid (who has a large office in our city ).
