I'm not sure I understand this tariffs thing TBH.
If I see something on a shelf, two versions of practically the same thing, one is £3 and the other is 25% more, at nearly £4, I'm going to buy the £3 one.
Let's face it, who {normally) looks at WHERE the two items were manufactured. Unless you're super rich, you're going to go for the cheaper version.
So, who is this hurting?
Not me, I'm getting my item cheaper.
Not the supermarket, they don't give a shit. If they don't sell many, they'll just stop stocking it for sale.
So, the only thing I can see it hurting is the American manufacturer.
Have I got this wrong? Like I say, I don't really get the tariffs thing.
