This sounds good on the surface but how its actually done matters. Will FAA comms be moved to starlink? Will it be cost prohibitive to small aircraft owners? Will it consolidate control of who flies? Will it consolidate control in a way that favors airlines over private?
There is way, way too much money and elite priviledge involved in the Air Traffic Control System to let a bad month of highly publicized crashes allow a lopsided 'improvement'.
