Even as a child, I've always thought pretty much the same. Never minded the sermons (my minister was Quaker), but never could wrap my mind around communion. I always skipped it and the back of my mind thought it just seemed 'wrong': eating 'flesh' and drinking the 'blood' even though symbolic,
