CPS was after children for trafficking and also for experimentation.
I was in a position (years ago) where I helped mothers who were running from CPS in order to save their children.
In one instance, the Mom called me as the gov't stormtroopers banged on her door and when they got in, they tried to take her son. I heard the melee thru the phone.
He hid under his bed and they couldn't reach him.
Meanwhile, the Mom called her ex, the boy's father and once he got there, the terrifyingly dressed stormtroopers left.
The Mom soon left the state with her son with funds supplied by the father and by a committee set up to save the child.
The charges against the Mom were that she wasn't complying with what the doctors wanted.
Turned out that she was proven right. It took a lot but she got her boy to a doctor who truly did help him.

This Mom told me that she knew why they wanted her son.
She believed the doctors wanted to place her son in an institution so that they could experiment on him.
She said they tried to put a positive spin on it, but her mother's instinct, her intelligence and previous experience compelled her to refuse their "help."
Her first contact with me was via email. She wrote, "Please, please help me, please! They are going to kill my son!"
After the storm trooper event, she left her state, moved thousands of miles to get to a doctor we found who could help her son.
I had a friend who lived in her town who agreed to meet her to check her out. He met her and reported that she was on the level.
We had a committee to raise funds for them.
I saw an incredible change in her son after his medical treatment.
I knew other Moms who didn't fare as well. One Mom lost her 3 children permanently.
She fought back by writing books to help others and eventually, she became a minister.
