I was told by a tax accountant that the IRS doesn't go after non filers. Only those that file and make mistakes.
I sold a house to a guy who didn't file. He somehow got the IRS to go away and closed on the house.

I went through bankruptcy in 2008 during the collapse and stopped filling taxes for several years, they went back and got me for all the years I didn't file

Nope but I had to file just to show I didn't make the amount they guestimated to try and get back the money they forcefully to out of my accounts
