A 150-foot portion of the pier started floating away after the area experienced a large swell, seeing waves of up to 25 feet.
Two of the workers required rescuing from lifeguards while one was able to swim to shore.
Two of the workers were hospitalized.
The National Weather Service Bay Area is telling locals to stay away from the ocean, warning of potential waves of up to 60 feet.
