A local businessman where I used to live was a Shriner, something his dad got him into.
A wonderful and good man. He always helped the community and was a businessman with integrity!
I bought my firewood and soil amendments from him.
One day he shared that he was leaving the Shriners.
I don't recall his exact words, however, it was implied that he couldn't in good conscious move to the next level!
I've thought about this great man several times over the past several years while going down some rabbit holes about the true origins of religions and secret societies.
