BREAKING: The Democrat Governor of North Carolina vetoed a bill allocating $230 million to Hurricane Helene victims & relief efforts in Western North Carolina
Governor Cooper's veto means tens of thousands of citizens will continue to suffer—he ought to be ARRESTED for this.
The crook justified his veto by saying he doesn't like the part of the comprehensive bill that includes delegating some election oversight authority to the State Auditor's office.
The Legislature, currently led by the great Speaker Tim Moore, has Constitutional authority to oversee elections. They gave power to the governor's office, and the governor abused it, so they're taking it back and giving it to a more responsible and non-partisan office.
