I don't know what but something transpired with my mama and oldest brother. She has done SOOOOO much for him including sinking 45k into his sons house remodel. Please pray she is treated with the love and respect she deserves.

We heard a story much like this today, a youngest son taking advantage of an elderly mother, stating he was going to have her house when she is gone even though there are 4 other siblings. The father just died a while back so this is happening even during a difficult time. Drug addict, causes trouble wherever he goes with others. The mother takes his side every time there is an issue. That would just tick me off to no end. I hope your brother does the right thing and pays her back asap so it doesn't cause more tension.

My brother is typically a good guy. Very driven but she is too good to him for him to be rude to her. She is very loving. She is sharp as a tack, however he is supposed to be a good son to her. I told her a good rule of thumb is the Chief commanded respect for her and she should continue to do the same. I told her just spend it all. Chief did that for her, not past grown adults.

My brother was not a good son to my mother. He used her, took her money, left her penniless because he was a druggie at the time and one of the most arrogant sobs I've even known. He lives away so I don't know what kind of person he is now, hopefully an honorable one but most people like that don't change. I hope your brother will make you proud.
