Can anyone help me find a way to combat thyroid problems or know natural remedies? Would greatly appreciate any advice! Thank you!

Search Dr. Berg videos on YouTube. There is a lot of great information out there for alternative ways to help the thyroid.
The thyroid is a complicated part of the entire endocrine system and they all work synergistically. Gall bladder, liver, intestines, adrenals all play important roles. Keep searching for 'alternative thyroid treatments'. Read a lot.
Have you been tested? Do you have Hashimoto's (autoimmune), or low thyroid function?
First and foremost, stop eating all forms of gluten. I have low thyroid and that part nearly did me in as I love breads/pastas. Dr. Berg suggests a KETO diet with intermitent fasting. He's got a number of videos, many of thyroid health. I also just found out I have low iodine levels which can make a difference as well.
Good luck. Do your research. I can tell you what works for me after you read up on the issue.

Thanks for your input. This is for my wife who has hypothyroidism. I’m just looking for alternatives instead of pharmaceuticals.

Sorry. I thought there was another reply from you. Wrong person.
FYI: I take
zince/copper
selenium (I believe can also get from brazil nuts)
Liposomal Vitamin C
Liposomal B-Complex
Vitamin D
L-Tyrosine
Ashwaganda (Ayurvedic Herb helps with thyroid and is an adaptogen)
Guggul (Ayurvedic herb recommended for thyroid support)
I recently found out I am deficient in iodine so have added 200-325 mcg from sea kelp
I believe I mentioned the health of the gut is important as well as the liver and gall bladder.
They thyroid needs T3, converted from T4, which is done in the liver.
Also, the health of the adrenals affect thyroid health. (I am still working on that)
You can also get "Next to Nature, Inc" brand of desiccated bovine thyroid. Some say porcine is most like human, but I've not seen any OTC.
I believe I mentioned stop eating gluten. It mimics something the thyroid sees as an invader and therefore attacks it. I only found this out one year ago.

Thank you for the information. How do you figure the amount for each supplement? Thanks again.

Hi.
I tend to go by what the supplement suggests on most things.
One of Dr. Berg's many videos about thyroid/adrenals/etc. on YouTube does advise 20,000 IU of Vitamin D. I currently take 15,000 and have for quite a while.
Selenium is 200 mcg a day.
I am not sure if there are suggestions for things like the zinc.
I also take 1 capusle of NOW brand Rhodiola in the morning and I take anywhere from 2 to 4 capsules of Ashwaganda in the evening. Rhodiola is energizing, Ashwaganda tends to calm things down.
I also just heard someone talking about Astragulus for thyroid, which I have and use medically as it is anti-bacterial/anti-viral/anti-fungal, if I have a need. I need to research use for thyroid as I've never come across it.
The OTC bovine glandular is quite a high dose but I've no clue how it relates to the meds.
Again, a holistic/integrative doctor can help. They can prescribe "Armor" which is a glandular product. And stop eating gluten.

I also highly recommend watching Dr. Berg's videos. He 'sells' supplements of course, but I am a label reader and do a lot of comparing.
Dr. Berg also offers some simple at home test to do to check such things as whether the body needs iodine or not, adrenal fatigue, and probably more.
You can also just do an internet search for alternative thyroid treatment, treating hypothyroidism holistically, etc.
Good luck, There is a lot of information out there for alternative treatments. I only found out about gluten's affect on they thyroid a year ago. Cutting it out has made a world of difference to how I feel, although I LOVE breads/pastas/etc. . . .
I also purchase liposomal or phytosomal supplements if available. It allows the supplement to by-pass stomach acids and is then absorbed directly by the intestines and far more of the supplement can be used by the body.
