Oh I get that Kris. It’s been a tough few years. As I’ve spoken out, more and more, over the past couple of years, I find so many friends and family that don’t want to have conversations about anything important. They seem guarded and unable or willing to enter into a meaningful dialogue about anything. I have noticed that most question nothing now. I mean really NOTHING! They just keep plowing on, day after day, in the same direction. It absolutely boggles my mind that they seem so unaware of everything happening. It’s like the Zombie brain has kicked in or something. All these people that I have loved and spent most of my life with and have been so close to. I feel like I’m on the outside, looking in…watching everything happening and seeing no light in any of their eyes. Everyday, I seem to have less in common with them than the previous day. It’s really hard to just watch and love them where they are and avoid putting some distance between us, but I’ll keep trying.

Right there with ya, brotha. But yeah, keep trying. Even if you can't get through to them on the important issues of today, love is also equally important, so just hold on to that. My family won't even let me bring up any of these topics, they shut me down immediately. I don't try anymore because I know it's futile. But they know I love them and I know they love me, so while the conversations are boring, the heart flame is still alive. Don't let that go out.
