Prayer Must Be Personal
Feb 29, 2024 Carter Conlon

In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches us how to pray. He advises us not to be like hypocrites who pray to be seen by others. Instead, He encourages us to pray privately in a room with the door shut, where we can have a sincere and genuine conversation with our God. Jesus warns us against using empty words or repeating prayers without any true meaning. He reminds us that God already knows our needs before we even ask. Prayer must be personal, and it must be authentic. Because God sees beyond mere words, discerning the authenticity of our motives. By seeking a private and sincere connection with God, we can cultivate a deeper relationship rooted in genuine love and trust. Prayer is not merely a ritual or performance for others to see but a sacred and intimate conversation with the one who knows us and cares. My brother and my sister,

it's time to pray.
