The people that invited him knew already full well how deep the infiltrations went. They had been working in it and exposing it non publicly for literally decades.
Admiral Rogers, for one, knew pretty well how deep it went.
All indications are that military and civilian intellegence started the team that invited Trump so they were well aware of most of the levels of infiltration.

There were no doubt many that have been exposed as traders by dragging this out in this manner tho that they many not have know before, but they knew going in that it was not just Presidential staffing and Congress.
