My kind of Christmas lights this year.

2023 started with the most amazing Son Doong cave in Vietnam and finishes now with incredible glow caves of New Zealand.
This is the Spellbound cave in Waitomo. It really looks like Avatar in real life with millions of glow worms on the top of the cave ceiling reflecting in the calm river stream.
To get this shot I stood up half body in a cold stream for several minutes. Just later I realized it's full of 1m long eels. It's a single 2 minutes exposure I made with Nikon Z8 and Sigma 1.8 lens. Peter and Ross, owners of Spellbound, switched on very faint light on the lamp for a brief second in order to outline the silhouette of the raft far away in the background. They take tourists by boat every day to experience this true wonder of the Earth.
