Anyone not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into the lake of fire."
Eternity is a very long time.

I believe that is exactly what GOD is saying. These statements go back to the time of Moses and the exodus from Israel. While God was writing the Ten Commandments with a tongue of fire on the mountain, the Israelites did what humans often do - they strayed away from the God who released them from Egypt back to the false gods (golden calf) and their evil ways. The entire chapter referenced in Acts is reminding us of our ancient past. Our salvation is not a one time event - it is a steadfast pace on a journey that leads us away from evil and Satan and takes us to our Creator and Heaven. ONE DAY AT A TIME. Each day leads us through both joyous and perilous times but we go through that day with the knowledge that we are not ALONE. The Kingdom of God lives within us. This song is one I listen to every day. It is voicing the child of God I long to be. Great is our God:
