Cry Out

Romans 8:15–16: “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” The true believer's inner knowledge says, “I belong to God, and God belongs to me.” There's an inner desire in the true believer's heart to move away from what hinders and move towards that which will glorify Christ. We don't always do it right. We make mistakes, but there's a covering for those moments of frailty, and that genuine cry comes back again into our hearts; we cry out, “Abba Father.” May we be willing to cry out to God in humility continually. Your heavenly Father is waiting to hear from you.
