The world seems to have lost its ability to give a compliment without attaching some sort of critique to it. You're fucking up your children with it too.

Can't you just tell a kid "Hey, good job man!" and not fucking load them with insecurities and constantly add "...but next time, when you do that you'd do it better if you'd just..."

Krissakes people, why do you think YOU feel like you're never quite good enough, like you're terrified you're gonna screw it all up at any moment?

Wanna know where those cursed lifelong eating disorder insecurities are rooted? Or your fear of failure as a husband and father that you secretly drink to sleep every night? Why do we all plan things over and over but no one tries out of fear of something or another?

Stop making more problems to cure, love and build your children and just tell them "You are freakin amazing and I am proud of all you do!"

Don't do to them what they did to us.
