The CCP IS Scary!
I lived and worked in Beijing for over a year and had some dealings with their infrastructure when my passport was swiped.
Talk about intimidating! I was so happy to return home. Whilst the Chinese people are absolutely lovely, the machinery around them that makes everything work is dystopian and highly regimented.
Never felt more glad to be American than while living there.
