the communities that got the contaminated gas are the same areas that got whacked by Hurricane Ian, so even if Idalia didn't cause direct storm damage, the lack of clean fuel certainly has. Our area in SWFL got bad gas - fortunately it was only a few stations in Ft Myers and Cape Coral which were landfall for Ian.
Interestingly, about 7 years ago, the largest gas seller for middle TN - MAPCO - filled gas tanks w diesel - so I saw this happen in Nashville a few yrs ago. Now I am wondering if that was a Test run?

Especially in the lead-up to Trump presidency! It just feels like bad actors are being forced into committing the very same crimes but under very different authorities where they will be caught, held out as bad guys, and prosecuted, whereas before under corrupt governors and feds, there was NO JUSTICE - never any accountability! No bad press, no criminal or rico charges, no penalties.
