Oppenheimer had Czechoslovak plans for an atomic bomb. Why were Štěchovice, Příbram, Čelákovice and Strakonice vital for the Nazis?
Unlike the Americans, the Germans went the route of heavy water (Štěchovice), mixing it with uranium to obtain plutonium. There were engineering companies in Čelákovice and Vysočany in Prague that supplied parts for the accelerator that started the nuclear reaction in the German nuclear bomb.
The Manhattan Project, led by Robert Oppenheimer, contained a drawing of a cyclotron/accelerator with Czech labels!!! This shows how well informed the scientists were about the Nazis' progress. But they also had good news in Czechoslovakia!

V česku toho po nacistech zůstalo mnohem víc. Třeba archivy s přehledem a hesly k bankovním účtům, které byly ve Švýcarsku založeny ještě před rokem 1935 (takže se na ně nevztahuje poválečné blokování a stále tam přibývají úroky) a byla z nich dotována 2. světová. Pokud vím, tak se tento archiv ještě nenašel.
Náckové byli vůbec "důmyslní" v ukrývání různých dokumentů. Moje máma, když byla poslancem v 90.letech, našla v trubce od kamen kompletní seznam kolaborantů s gestapem (kniha stočená do role) na obecním úřadu, obec Mlázovice u Jičína - když tam byla prováděna rekonstrukce budovy. No a člen rodiny, která tam byla uvedena kompletně celá (a byl zároveň starostou - Kodym) ten seznam ukradnul a řekl, že nic takového neexistuje.
Máma si ale stačila vše přečíst, takže věděla o všech kolaborantech, oblast Lázně Bělohrad až Jičín.
Policajti mámě řekli ať krádež neřeší, že by mohla být obviněna za pomluvu a pak jí donutili odstoupit, taky podvodem-celá "státní správa" jsou kolaboranti.
