Folks should be ready to evacuate in the event of an emergency, a few days worth at least. Have a "bugout" kit of essentials, non-perishable food, water, shelter (sleeping bag), self-defense stuff, etc., ready to throw in the car, just in case. Gas tanks always kept full. It's only wise. Today prepping is even fashionable, and tactical is also in style.
