I can't be the only one who sees a date, and immediately begins to add up the digits for numerological significance, or adjust by +/- 13 days for Julian/Gregorian calendar, or see what an offset of "two days ahead of schedule" might bring.

Yes all of the time. Things like "2 days ahead of schedule" and (in this case) "think mirror"
