Yesterday I watched Stargate Atlantis - Season 1 - "Hot Zone" (from 2004).
There was a viral outbreak on Atlantis; symptoms were individuals "seeing" something that wasn't there -- a look of horror on their face as they looked up, turned slowly, swatted at the air, then died. Autopsies revealed all had an aneurysm over the visual cortex. It was traced to a NANOBOT virus. They destroyed it with an EMP to sever the connection between the bots and their command center.
