Oh, that is so exciting to look forward to, a new family member!🩷 We lost our little fur buddy last Sept so we are feeling the same. But, I am enjoying some time off from pet care. Plus, when I do commit to another dog, I'm afraid of the vax crap and crappy dog food recommended by a vet and don't know who/what to trust??! In our 35 years together, the longest we've gone was 2 months without a dog... until now. It's been 3 years! It's time. We actually came across a breeder that raises their dogs naturally... no vaccinations and feeds homemade food. I've raised that way before but it's tough when you live in an area with no vets to support that. So, we'll see how far we can get with no vaccines, but we'll definitely be making homemade food. We're raising chickens, so we'll have an abundance of eggs and plenty of chicken meat.

I added a couple of new books on holistic treatment for dogs to my library. There's plenty of information out there on raising dogs naturally. Look into it when you are thinking you can't live much longer without a four legged family member!
