my teacher is a big fan of his and encourages his students to attend his events..... which are $500 a pop just to attend

maths, very good :)
he gets a huge audience in huge venues,
so some ppl think it's worth it,
and while he goes on for hours during these events,
and i've seen him take on and help / uplift certain lucky ones,
i just don't get it...
seems nearly cultish somehow imo
