Have you ever heard of human beings, " light harvesting?" Me neither. "They want our energy," most likely refers to non-human entities. My mind has been blown several times over in the past year by revelations i thought were limited to science fiction books and movies. But apparently science fiction in recent years has been inspired by true events. And The Matrix was just the start.
Consider the word "extraterrestrial." The "extra" means additional, and "terrestrial," means land or territory, from the Latin "terra."
An extraterrestrial is a being from additional territory. It has nothing to do with outer space. Science fiction writers stretched the definition to include outer space to come up with a term for space aliens. it means beings who come from Earth territory. Like the lands outside the circular ice wall on a flat Earth. Or beneath the Earth, which would explain their habit of harvesting our light energy stored in our bodies.
