I spent 25 years as a line mechanic, made good money. got arthritis, carpel tunnel in my right wrist, applied for corrections. took 2 years for background check with me praying every day i’d be rejected. Hell no, so went through a 4 month academy at48, still praying that i’d wash out. Spent 15 years in supermax, learned communication skills that most don’t get, all the time praying i would get fired. Every time i ask for an easy out, God pushes me into something worse

I know the feeling.
I am part of a class action lawsuit and stand to get $800,000.
It has been 3 years so far and the lawyer said 18 more months from today.
So now at 54 I am going back into the work force and will have to be a laborer for 2 years.
I should have never sked for an easier life... Backfired like a mofo.

See, that is the problem - you are worn down and bankrupted so that you don't even try to fight.

I am worn down, I left the railroad for safety reasons and had had enough.
The lawyers dragged their feet and this was supposed to be over last June 2022.
At least there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Six months wouldn't be bad to wait out. Eighteen is too much.
I have all the documentation I needed to prove the case, including stuff from the VA, Doctors, legal docs up to 12 years ago. Rock solid.
God has gotten me this far!
