How long does it take to build a 3D-printed house?

Alquist used a massive 3D printer to create the structure of the home out of concrete, rather than wood and other traditional materials. The process took just 28 hours — the typical Habitat for Humanity house takes at least four weeks to construct — and it cut building costs by 15% per square foot.

I have a fren, he is an engineer, that built their entire house in TN out of concrete! The entire thing floors walls all of it. Sold it when they divorced recently.
About 4k sq ft. and it was amazing!
There are also so personal taste decorating differences for instance ya cant just put a pic on the wall with a tiny nail or screw.
Point being the best ppl to confer with might be ones that have lived in one.
Of course over the years concrete also has some issues and the concrete must be the precise consistency to work out without early yrs cracking.
Is there a particular type or consistency that is more hurricane proof?
Nana thinks the 3d printing of homes is awesome.
We are going to only be limited by our own imaginations soon I hope.

Yeah, my first concern with an all concrete construction like this is the brittleness/drying out thing.

I wonder if they could add something to keep it from getting like that.

The other thing - concrete gets cold, and builds up moisture on its surface so damp proofing may be needed, or very good insulation.

I like the curves that can be achieved - I have always wanted a strawbale house - you can curve the walls on that material too. We looked into it for a lot we were considering, but the builder wanted $350sq ft!

Too rich for our taste.

Aye, we about gagged when they told us.

Seems the exodus from blue states (CA, WA, OR) add in that min wage hike and fuel prices, is driving prices sky high.

Nana has been a Realtor for over 2o yrs and we are about to see another cluster... in my opinion.
We have had ppl here paying more than homes will even appraiser for out of their pockets just to get a home.
They are underwater the day they move in.
Rates are up and the economy is in the toilet so this housing bubble is about to burst!.

I saw a post on our local fb page, some CA newbie asking who they could get a 'refund from, because their house had already dropped in price since they moved in, a month or so before... I kid you not.

They wanted to know if the Realtor was who they should go after...

I keep asking - what jobs do these idiots have, that they can afford 800k, for a house on 2acres, then as that kind if question?

The morons moving in, still maintian that voting blue is the way to go...

They will turn our area blue, then in 10 years when it becomes a shithole, they will move further inland, the property being snapped up by developers intent on putting tiny apartment rentals up for the illegals guaranteed lefty voters to move into - their rents paid for by US!

Makes me so mad.

Stacee Barton @sdb1972
They are currently building a 60-90 unit complex down the street from our house. It will be across the street from a middle school. I am almost certain the plan is to fill it with illegals. The town is being overtaken by invaders. We live in Goshen in Northern Indiana… yep they are here taking over Indiana… unbelievable.

I heard they were flying them inland, do not doubt the property use... guaranteed rent as far as the owner is concerned.. and illegals do not care if it turns into a slum in 2 years - they seem incapable of changing their habits, so, they recreate the shithole they came from, everytime.

The country is being eaten away from the inside.
