Dogs suffer Horrendously from these mites, one type is contagious, another is inherited from the mother the vet told me. A dog I once fostered temporarily (to save him from being pts) was suffering from the noncontagious but apparently 'incurable' type, Oh how I wish 'd known about Ivermectin then.
