Also, look into "The Wrecking Crew". They were session musicians who were employed for a great number of studio recordings in the 60's and 70's. Many, many of them were top 40 hits. They did a lot of the music, lyrics and singing on the record albums of your favorite pop artists here in America and abroad. Glenn Campbell started out from them. They were used as ghost players on recordings.
