Holy ship!
It’s Fleet Week in Portland, and the Navy brought some cool boats! USS Michael Monsoor - Zumwalt-class Guided Missile Destroyer, and the USS Coronado - Independence-class littoral combat ship.

I wonder why the one is painted white? Is it primarily in Arctic oceans?

I'm about 3 hrs south of Portland in Sutherlin... you n me probably closer than we know to each other. :)
I had only heard about the Zumwalt in Portland and didn't know they were having a party with a fleet of Navy ships. So cool. Hubby just told me the white "skin" on that ship helps hide it on radar. Our US Coast Guard are also with them.
