What does Evergrande default mean?
Heres what it COULD mean:
- lots of evergrande bonds have been used for collateral by banks/hedge funds. Now that collateral is worthless, meaning they will need to come up with more collateral AKA Margin calls 😎
- Liquidity (available cash) will dry up meaning costs/fees to borrow money for hedge funds etc will increase more
All bad news for hedge funds.
The big question is why did they wait until right now to default? Its been defunct a long time. Why right now?
Nexus.

Those are considered MAJOR life event decisions that only a sound financial advisor can give. I would start there. You're better off doing that for safety and security sake.
