The four sources of law in the United States are the United States Constitution, federal and state statutes, administrative regulations, and case law. Do we need FOUR sources of law in America, leaving interpretation up to potential misguided thought? Is the US Constitution enough? What say you? Which basis of Law should our judges and judiciary be using to institute Law for the people?

CIVIL

COMMON

CONSTITUTION

Wait! I need my Crayons!.

eventually this will be the case under the Reign of Christ. However, in America the constitution is our guide. Common law is the exercise of God's natural law and when we understand the Constitution we can see how common law can be used to adjudicate issues between citizens based on their God-given rights. We actually have a very good system, but it has been perverted because we no longer understand it or live by it. Those who perverted it need to be tried and executed.

Our court system is NOT the natural law court system which was set up to settle disputes between people. When you trespassed against your neighbor (stole property, injured him/her etc) you would take it to a common law court and your peers would settle the matter. Now it is an admiralty court, which uses crazy laws and precedent instead of natural law and constitutional rights. The reason you feel the way you do is that you understand self-government and natural law. Your rights come from God. They do not come from Government. See my comment below.

We have been turned on our heads in this country. It was a slow drip. They stole our country and turned us into subjects, which is why we do not have true representation and our rights are constantly infringed by unconstitutional laws passed by those we elected to PROTECT our rights. They betrayed us ALL OF THEM! Presidents, Judges, Governors, Senators & Congressmen...

Respectfully, God establishes governments. And those who are in power—presidents, vice presidents, senators and congressmen, governors, mayors, or whatever their roles are—have been placed there by God, whether you voted for them or not.

We’re living in politically charged times, with disagreements over so many issues. Yet God has put government in place. Romans 13:1 tells us, “Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God” (Romans 13:1 NLT).

Think of God's servant Daniel who was held captive from youth to old man, in a pagan system. He rose above established government that went against God to official levels ordained by the pagan King Nebuchadnezzar. God did that. God will oversee that which He ordains and keep you FREE. Nothing is outside of His control.

You do submit to authority daily. There is no way around it. ❤ When we go through the water, God will not let it overflow

The fallacy of this is that we have a Republic. The people we elect are our SERVANTS not our authorities. They are supposed to answer to US. We are not their subjects.

When Paul wrote those words America wasn't around. There was no government like ours until our founding fathers established it.

Self-Government is basically this - Governing your own actions where they pertain to the natural rights of your neighbor. Do Unto Others as you would have them do unto you. Love your neighbor as yourself. Idealistically, our constitution guarantees every person their own power over their own property and their own lives. Our SERVANT government was set up to PROTECT our individual liberty, not to usurp it or interfere with it in any way. Read their OATH of office!

We have this idea that we are "subjects", which is INCORRECT.

God established America as a REPUBLIC where the individual is responsible to God's laws or "NATURAL LAW"

We've lost the true intent of our Constitution. 😊
