I have spent about 5 years of my adult life in the USA in total, and slept a night in 30 States. It's weird sitting here in Britain but mostly interacting with Americans, fighting in a global information war, yet not even allowed to enter the US. My allegiance is to humanity and our innate rights; I have no affection for the British Crown, even if I love my own country with all its problems.
The American Constitution is the closest thing we have in an imperfect world to an embodiment of those rights into workable law. Swearing an oath to support it is noble. I look at former associates who are nominally American, but whose dedication to the Party line would make a Soviet blush. So ready to enrich and aggrandise themselves, so unwilling to make any sacrifice for liberty and the rights of the persecuted.
Maybe this is unkind and unforgiving, but I do look forward to a day when those who supported tyrants and decried freedom are utterly ashamed of themselves.

Thank you Martin - we are indeed all in this together. If we would row in the same direction, the monsters would lose.
