The Missing Man/Fallen Soldier Table is steeped in symbolism.

Each item on represents the emotions and feelings reserved for those who did not come home.

The table is round, to show our everlasting concern for our fallen or missing servicemembers.

The cloth is white, symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to serve.

The single red rose; displayed in a vase, reminds us of the life of each of our fallen, and the loved ones and friends who miss them each and every day.

The red ribbon symbolizes our continued determination to remember our fallen and find our missing.

A slice of lemon reminds us of their bitter fate.

The salt is symbolic of the river of tears shed by families and loved ones.

The lighted candle is reminiscent of the light of hope which lives in our hearts and to illuminate their way home from their captors, to the open arms of a grateful nation.

The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain us and those lost from our country, founded as one nation under God.

The glass is inverted, symbolizing their inability to share a toast.

The CHAIR is empty … they are not here. Our lives are incomplete because they are not here to sit with us this weekend. They were there for us … we are still here for them.

This weekend, In honoring them … each of them … all of them … Please raise your glass in a toast to our fallen.
