Social Services just did a "surprise visit" (after 8pm mind you) on my sister because they say my nephew tested positive for barbiturates (she took half a valium back in December that she was prescribed for panic attacks, it may not have been best decision, but she's not a "user" and that shouldn't be enough for what they're trying to imply). I guess her first Dr visit while she was pregnant she tested positive for weed (which she was already quitting, had to leave her system) and she was told she would get visit from them.

They made her take a drug test, and she's still not feeling well and was kind of out of it from being tired and still dealing with the after effects of the epidural that was giving her issues since she left the hospital. She's scared because last night she took an edible to help her sleep (she's not breast feeding so it's not an issue). With what we know about CPS, this has me and my mom very concerned. Anybody else familiar w/ this kind of situation?

The timing of it is odd too, even her boyfriend is really pissed off because he was at work. He even stated that he was off all week, and the first day he goes back to work, [they] just so happen to show up that evening?

They tested my daughter for weed, and tested rhe baby for weed, both were negative, but my saughter has a weed tatoo on her back so they tested the babies meconium, which is their first poop and apparently weed showed up in that although they could not say when that poop was formed- it may be in the first trimester , so they told me , but that made no difference . They made us jump through a few hoops for about 3 months , which was very stressful when you have just had a baby,and informed us her name was on some list in case she ever had another child and thats the last we heard from them . It may have helped that I lived down the road feom my daughter and was at every meeting and very involved with the children .
It was just after Pizzagate came out 😱and I smiled through my teeth at them.
I think the more adults around and involved with your sister right now the better the outcome will be for her.
