Whats the point of a tower directly next to another tower? been seeing them pop up in pairs all around me

depends on the type of tower. if you are talking radio (cell) then a second tower in close proximity would react with the signals on the other tower. This is used to increase a.signal in a certain direction without adding power by concentrating the signal in a given direction. Think the old TV antennas, the little elements that come off of it direct the incoming signal making it appear stronger. The same works for transmitting. Hope that helps😀
